Where Are We?
Approximately 200 miles due west of Kampala is the area of Kyenjojo where the main town is Fort Portal. Miranga village is to be found 10 miles before reaching Fort Portal on the main road from Kampala, and this is the location of the Fountain of Peace project.
Who Are We?
Fountain of Peace Children’s Foundation is an exciting Charity based around a community project initiated as a consequence of the childhood of Peace Ruharuza. Over the last two years Fountain of Peace Foundation has developed a Children’s village in Uganda. The Foundation exists across three continents – the UK, New Zealand and Uganda where the Children’s village is based. Each branch of the Foundation is supported by a committed group of trustees who share a passionate love for Christ and for spreading his love to children and families in need.
The Fountain of Peace Children’s Foundation is currently committed to changing the lives of children in Uganda by providing homes and shelter in a caring Christian environment.
We work in partnership with other organizations, in particular Compassion Uganda, to transform children’s lives and communities in a Christ-Centered way.
As a Christian charity, the Fountain of Peace Children’s Foundation is motivated by the life, teaching and values of the Lord Jesus Christ and is committed to making tangible the love of God by seeking to bring permanent benefit to all the children attending, and those in the community at large, regardless of race, religion, class, gender or age.
The Trustees, Staff and volunteers of the Fountain of Peace Foundation share the following values:
- We are committed to sharing Christ’s love with others
- We are focused on meeting the spiritual, physical, emotional and practical needs of the children we work with.
- We are committed to rebuilding communities and supporting families.
- We are committed to being transparent, honest and open in everything we do.
