On the 17th February 2007 the Fountain of Peace Children’s Foundation had already managed to purchase 10 acres of land in Kyenjojo for the proposed children’s village. Following our ‘give a child a chance concert’ and the subsequent generosity of our donors we have now been able to secure an additional 15 acres making a total of 25. Our requirement is 30 acres in total and the remaining 5 acres should be secured over the coming months. The Trustee’s wish to thank all those people who kindly donated, it is your generosity that has made the acquisition possible.

Patrick Ruharuza with one of the local children named Joshua. Joshua spent much of the day collecting the stones that were to be a present to all those who attended our ‘give a child a chance concert’ at All Saint’s in Woodford Wells. Each person received their very own piece of Africa.
During the week commencing May 21st the official land celebration will be taking place in Kyenjojo western Uganda. The week will consist of a large party for the local children as we mark out the perimeter land boundary. We will be reporting on all the celebrations surrounding the event upon our return.
