“All I want for Christmas... is my new School Uniform... ”
With the new Accelerated Christian Education (ACE) curriculum now in place, Rwenjaza Hillside School is introducing a brand new school uniform from January 2026. Fountain of Peace Children’s Foundation UK supports this change, but it means that we need to raise at least £4000 this Christmas to buy the new uniform for all of the current children in our care who are of primary school age.
Whether as parents, or children ourselves attending school in the UK, we may remember putting school uniforms on with great reluctance - and very much looking forward to those ‘mufti’ days!
But wearing their school uniform is a huge source of pride for Ugandan children.
As so many of the children in our care come from backgrounds of abandonment and traumatic beginnings, wearing the school uniform alongside their peers gives them a huge boost - feelings of belonging, self-worth and dignity.
