Not least, for Pippa Sands (in purple jacket) who, in February 2019, fulfilled a lifetime ambition of reaching the summit of Mt Kilimanjaro, battling against record-breaking high winds. Whilst this was a celebration of her 60th birthday, her sponsorship money (over £8,000) funded the roof of one of our Family Homes.

In December 2018, Kate Sharma with her 2 young daughters along with Katherine Hodson ran the half-marathon Santa Fun Run in Tunbridge Wells.  Kate capitalised on this by completing the Brighton Marathon in April 2019.

In March Rebecca Shepherd completed the Inverness half-marathon.  The proceeds from each of these will go towards the building of an urgently-needed additional classroom block for the Fountain of Peace Primary School.
