In February 2018, a team of 15 from the UK spent eight days at the Fountain of Peace project at Miranga village, Kyenjojo, Western Uganda.

Their suitcases were laden with children’s clothes, a full reading scheme for the nursery/primary school (kindly donated by a primary school in Chesham), children’s toys and writing implements. The team undertook building work, painting of the new brick-built FOP nursery school (Rwenjaza Hillside), harvesting of maize at the FOP farm and mission work, including a Gospel crusade in the local town, and most of all had the joy of spending time with the 43 FOP children, 22 in Bethel Babies Home and 21 in the three Family Homes.

One of the main highlights was the opening ceremony of the new school, attended by local district, officials, school parents, teachers, and all the FOP-UK team as guests of honour.

We thank God that all our team kept in good health, kept safe on the roads and were all inspired by the trip.
