During the bi-annual wet season, the road to the FOP village becomes a quagmire. Approval has just been given by the FOP-UK trustees to invest £5,500 in building a culvert along the side to catch the water running down the hill, and then to grade and re-grit the road surface. Whilst not a permanent solution, we hope it will provide a safe route, certainly for the next 2 to 3 years before re-grading becomes necessary. We are urgently requesting funds to re-surface the only access road to the FOP village and school. Currently, it is a significant danger to all who attempt to negotiate the road on any sort of vehicle from boda-boda (motorbike) to lorry.
