We took with us children’s clothes, shoes, toys, books, and craft activities for the children. We had a great time doing all sorts of activities, both indoor and outdoor, testing our differing skills. The activities included: building African kitchen gardens for the children to grow vegetables; building a new community well in the village; painting murals in the babies home and nursery school; playing games and making crafts with the children; and, most of all, spending time with the children.
We were also able to attend the nursery and primary school at Rwenjaza Hillside. As always a tour of the local village, sometimes praying and sharing our faith with villagers, was especially memorable.
We also had an encouraging meeting with the management from Child Evangelism Fellowship Uganda. It is our real desire at FOP to work in partnership with them in bringing structured Bible teaching to the staff and children, as well as providing opportunity for the children to attend Bible camps. Please pray about this - a wonderful opportunity to increase their knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.
We are all so grateful for your prayers for safe travel and a great time together. Team members were all inspired by the trip.
