We took with us children’s clothes, shoes, toys, books, stationery, games and craft activities for the children.
Many different tasks were successfully completed on the trip, including the construction of keyhole kitchen gardens at the local school, building a kitchen for one of our staff members from bamboo and mud, fixing a treehouse for our children, painting a metal playground for the children and decorating an incredibly sooty kitchen that serves the babies’ home. We were also able to attend the nursery and primary school at Rwenjaza Hillside. As always a tour of the local village, sometimes praying and sharing our faith with villagers, was especially memorable.
It was a real privilege to spend time with the staff and children in the FOP village, building relationships and seeing the family homes and the babies’ home in action. We are all so grateful for your prayers for safe travel and a great time together. Team members were all inspired by the trip.
