We have seen milestones reached that previously seemed unimaginable, including Abigail, pictured right, who has achieved new levels in her development in spite of her previous significant disabilities. Now learning to sit and stand using specialist equipment, she brings joy to the hearts of her carers each day.
Bob, below left, who was diagnosed with an uncommon orthopaedic condition, is undergoing regular physiotherapy following training of an in-house team, whilst another child, Esau, pictured below right, has had a successful operation to treat a foot condition and is recovering well. Brian, pictured at the bottom below, one of our youngest babies, is also receiving treatment for a deformed ankle. We are in such a privileged position at FOP to fund specialised training and care which means that our children receive the help they need in order to thrive.
Our oldest children, including Sylvie, pictured below in the middle row, are now at or approaching the end of primary education and will be transitioning to the secondary syllabus. As there is currently no local secondary school, a decision has been taken to extend the secondary educational provision at Rwenjaza Hillside School to cater for these children.
