Marilyn (Mari) Shepherd
Mari is married to Andrew; they live in Buckinghamshire. She qualified as a Nurse at Manchester Royal Infirmary before bringing up her three children. She has past Trustee experience in a Nursery for Able-bodied and Special Needs children in Stockport, as well as formerly holding a Company Directorship in the family Medico-legal business.
Both Mari and Andrew have been closely associated with Compassion UK for many years, both as North West Regional Coordinators and Advocates, and have sponsored many children around the world, visiting four of them on different continents. Along with Andrew, she is actively involved in Good News for Everyone (formerly GideonsUK), as well as their local Church.
Both Andrew and Mari share a passion for serving God amongst disadvantaged folk around the world, and have both been involved in short-term mission projects, both at home and abroad.
