Fountain of Peace Children’s Foundation (FOP) has been developing a new Chaplaincy arrangement which will function under the leadership of an entirely new post, that of an Evangelical Minister of the Gospel at St James’ Church, appointed from the Diocese of Fort Portal over the whole Chaplaincy and working with the FOP team. Rev Arthur Kasoro is a young man just completing a Master's in Divinity in at Uganda Christian University, already being qualified in Community Development. He has been working in a Childcare organisation for 10 years now, and his tenure of employment at FOP starts January 2026. He will be working closely with Sylvan, our FOP Chaplain, and will also be playing a significant role within "Mothers Matter in Childbirth" as we seek to take the Gospel out into the village communities where MMC is already active.
From an early age we read to our children and encourage them to play and learn about the world around them. As a Christian organisation, FOP is committed to teaching our children about the Christian faith from infancy. We also pray with and for our children, encouraging them to develop a living faith for themselves, finding out why and how Jesus is so relevant to their lives. It is a source of real joy that some of our children, on confession of their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, have been baptised. All this comes within the responsibilities of both Sylvan and Arthur who are also an integral part of ministering to the needs of the FOP and Rwenjaza Hillside School staff, with regular prayer and Bible study.
Daily prayers, Bible stories and regular Sunday services for all our children are an integral part of their lives and all of our staff are committed to this. It is their joy and responsibility to share their faith with the children under their care.
